Ellen comes with over 15 years of performance knowledge, skill and experience that has been acquired throughout her professional career and expertly tailored to establish her own creative practice.
She is passionate about connecting her artistry to the ongoing evolution of arts education in Australia, providing both students and teachers alike with new skills and ways of working.
By fostering the production of high calibre, multi-disciplinary work across various professional and educational platforms, Ellen seeks to widen the opportunity for Australian artists to connect with international training methods and contribute to a progressive and expansive arts and cultural landscape.
She delivers high quality and bespoke workshops, sophisticated and considered movement expertise, and brings rigour and the breadth of her performance artistry to every creative development engagement.

Workshops
Ellen offers workshops across a wide range of performance-based skills including Physical Theatre/Movement, Devising, Ensemble Building, Contemporary Theatre, Realism, Shakespeare, Character Development and Lecoq Performance Techniques.
Ellen is available to facilitate both professional and student workshops (in-school & extra-curricular), individual mentoring, and teacher Professional Development. Services are available to performers/participants of all levels of experience.

Movement Direction
Ellen specialises in bridging the performance gap between acting and dance.
With extensive training and professional experience in both these artistic expressions, she is able to coordinate movement with an astute eye for detail, execution, theatrical relevance and purpose.
Ellen provides movement consultation and direction for productions of any size, as well as for individuals wanting to hone their physical theatricality and explore a greater understanding/awareness of a physical craft.

Creative Development
Ellen offers services in script and physical theatre/movement development for works in all stages of realisation.
Whether you require an actor for the development of a new script, a body in a space to devise an innovative movement score/palette, or just want to explore the basis of an idea through improvisation and collaboration, Ellen’s specific skill set means she can provide a playwright or devisor with the possibility of hearing/seeing their ideas come to fruition.
